Our Values
Climate Change
We need to act more on climate now to provide a livable world, and to take advantage of opportunities and create jobs in the transition to a renewable economy.
Climate change is the outstanding moral, ethical and survival issue of our time, and most democrats think more should be done to address it.
Reproductive Rights
A woman’s dominion over her own body is under attack by a small, politically motivated contingent of the far right. We must act to ensure women’s ability to exercise rights over their own bodies.
NJ Infrastructure
Infrastructure in New Jersey is degraded and needs maintenance and improvement. New Jersey grades at a D+ in relation to other states. The infrastructure plan proposed by the Biden administration is highly beneficial to the state of New Jersey.
Healthcare
Medical coverage that extends to all Americans ensures a happy, productive and healthy workforce and overall populace.
The current medical insurance system is draining to both the average American’s pocket and the government. It is estimated that Medicare, with the way it is currently being administered, will run through its trust fund by 2026.
Social Security
Social Security provides a primary financial foundation for American seniors, disabled workers, and survivors of serious illness.
Full payment of earned Social Security benefits is in future jeopardy, with payouts potentially dropping to perhaps only 75% of benefit levels by 2035.
Gun Control
Common-sense gun control is needed to curb gun-related violence and, in particular, the prevalence of mass shootings.
Good Governance
Good governance refers to how the government is elected and overseen, the power of citizens to hold government accountable, the credibility of the government, the respect for institutions from both government and citizens, and the effective delivery of public services.
We must work to counter the harmful attacks on our foundational American institutions and to build respect and confidence nationally and around the globe.
Civil Rights
The rights of all citizens to political and social freedom and equality must be ensured.
Civil rights are a class of rights that protect individuals’ freedom from infringement by governments, social and commercial organizations, and private individuals. Civil rights ensure one’s entitlement to participate in the civil and political life of the society and state without discrimination or repression.
